Which GPU Should I Choose: 5060 8GB or 9060 XT 8GB?

I'm trying to decide between the 5060 with 8GB of VRAM and the 9060 XT also with 8GB. Unfortunately, I can't find a 16GB version of the 9060 XT available anywhere, and I'm also looking for alternatives for a decent GPU. What should I do?

You should really look for GPUs with more than 8GB of VRAM, especially if you're planning to use the card for a longer time. It could really pay off down the line.

Could you suggest some models? I need something that can handle 1440p.

Honestly, I’d hold out for the 9060 XT 16GB if I were you. The 8GB cards, while tempting, aren't going to cut it in the long run.

Given your situation and if those are your only options, the 9060 XT is definitely the better choice. Check reviews to see how they perform in your typical tasks.

Comparing specs, the 5060 operates on 8 PCIe lanes and the 9060 XT has 16, plus it's about 30% faster. Make sure your motherboard can handle those lanes, or it could hinder performance a bit.

The 9060 XT is actually better than the 5060 if you can get it. It's on par with the 5060 Ti and offers better performance. If you can wait, a 16GB version would be ideal, as 8GB will limit you eventually.
