Hey everyone, I'm looking for advice on upgrading my graphics card. Right now, I'm using a 2060 Super, but I just got a new 2K monitor (the AW2725DF) and need something more powerful for demanding games that feature ray tracing, like Black Ops 6 and the new Doom: The Dark Ages.
I plan to trade in my 2060 Super and here are the local prices I'm seeing:
- RTX 5060: £379.99
- RX 9070: £649.99
- RX 9070 XT: £699.99
I'd really appreciate any guidance you have on which card offers the best value for performance. Thanks a ton!

If those are your only choices, I’d definitely pick the RX 9070 XT. It's the best performer in that lineup for your gaming needs!
Definitely steer clear of the RTX 5060 Ti 8GB model! A lot of users have pointed out its limitations with that amount of VRAM, so it's wise to avoid it. Better options exist for your upgrade!
This is tricky since you're looking at some big price differences. If your budget can stretch to the 9070 XT, go for it. But if you want to save cash and aren't too picky about running every game on ultra settings, the RTX 5060 Ti is not a bad choice at all.
I don’t have any strict budget, so if the higher-end cards are worth the extra cash, I’ll go for them. Just trying to figure out the real differences!
If I had to choose, I'd go for the RX 9070 XT. Just make sure to check how much credit you'll get for your 2060 Super. You might find it worthwhile to sell it for cash elsewhere and grab a 9070 for around £580, which can save you some money. Also, remember that the XT version has higher power consumption and generates a lot more heat, especially in the UK, so keep that in mind when making your decision.
Is the power difference really that significant? I was thinking about leaning towards the XT myself.
Thanks for the heads up! I've heard similar things about the 8GB restriction, so I’ll keep that in mind.
