Hey everyone! I'm thinking about setting up a micro PC to handle all my applications, so I can lighten the load on my Synology NAS. I'm considering getting either an i5 or i7 processor with 32GB or 64GB of RAM. Can anyone recommend which generation of i5 or i7 would suit my needs best without breaking the bank? Thanks a lot! 😊

I use an older Dell 3050 micro with an i5-6500T and 32GB of RAM. It works really well for my needs! It even has room for both an NVMe and a SATA SSD, so you might want to check out something similar. It’s been a solid performer for me!

Honestly, I’m not sure why this is all about choosing a micro PC. If your main goal is to run Docker, you might want to look into dedicated home server setups instead. They can be more efficient for those types of applications.

I get where you're coming from, but I thought a decent machine would be necessary for running Docker apps efficiently. That's why I wanted suggestions!
