Which is Better for My SaaS: Render or Railway?

Hey everyone! I'm trying to decide between Render and Railway for my small SaaS project, which involves a tech stack of Deno, Postgres, and Websockets for client-server communication. It's important for me to comply with EU guidelines, including GDPR. Initially, I expect around 200 users with a maximum of 20 concurrent connections, but I'm looking for a solution that can scale up to over 3000 users (about 300 concurrent connections) fairly quickly, likely in just a couple of months after launch. My budget for cloud services is capped at 100€ per month, and I'm specifically looking for a managed service (PaaS) to allow for swift deployment within a day. However, I want to avoid suggestions for AWS, Azure, or GCP. Any recommendations?

I'd recommend going with Render. It offers a smoother upgrade path for when your user load starts increasing, plus you get better infrastructure transparency. It should fit comfortably within your budget as you scale from 200 to 3000 users. Use Railway only if you're more focused on rapid prototyping rather than scaling capabilities.

Can you give me specific reasons why Render is the better choice?

I've been using Railway for nearly 2 years for my database and CMS, and I haven't had any complaints so far!

Traffic and user limits seem crucial, right? How's that been for you?
