I'm trying to decide between the B650 Eagle AX and the B550 Tomahawk for my 9800x3d. The B650 is obviously the cheaper option, but I'm concerned about whether it will throttle my CPU because of the VRM quality. Any thoughts?

The B650 Eagle AX has more than enough VRMs to support the 9800X3D without any issues. It should be great for your needs!
