Why Am I Getting Google Captchas All the Time?

For about a week now, I've been dealing with a frustrating issue where every time I search for something on Google—whether it's YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, or even just recipe searches—I get hit with a captcha. The weird part is that it only asks me to check a box and not to select images or anything. However, if I add .com to my searches, everything works fine. This problem is persisting on both my Windows 11 PC and my iPhone. I've contacted my internet service provider, and all they did was reset my modem. I'm wondering if this might be a malware issue. I ran a scan with Webroot, but it didn't find anything, and I'm currently doing a full scan with MRT. Although I saw it mention two infected files, they didn't show up during the actual scan. Has anyone else experienced this? What could be causing it?

Have you tried checking your browser settings or clearing the cache? Sometimes that can cause weird issues like this. Also, ensure you don't have any suspicious extensions installed that could be affecting your browsing.

I've cleared my cache and checked my extensions, but I’ll double-check them again. Thanks!

This sounds super frustrating! It could be that your IP address is flagged or that there's something wrong with your connection. You might want to try using a VPN temporarily to see if that helps with the captcha problem. As for the malware scan, it’s good that you’re checking, but if you feel things are still off, consider using a different tool like Malwarebytes for a second opinion.

I had a similar issue, and using a VPN really helped me out. It’s worth a shot!
