Why Are My SSD Controller and Memory Temperatures Always the Same?

I've just installed a heatsink on my SSD (Be Quiet M1 Pro), and I managed to lower the controller's temperature from 90°C to 74°C under heavy load, which is great! However, I noticed that the controller and memory temperatures are always in sync, and it's a bit strange. I added an extra 1mm thick thermal pad on both the memory and controller after reading that the Samsung 970 might not make proper contact with the heatsink without it. Should I remove the extra thermal pad from the memory and stick with the stock one? Thanks for your input!

The temperatures seem a bit high, but if they're just matching each other, that's not necessarily a problem. It's expected; since the heatsink is covering everything, thermal conduction is probably balancing the temperatures. Just keep an eye on them to make sure they don’t climb too high during intense use!

Yeah, they went from 90°C on the controller to around 70-74°C under heavy load. The placement isn't ideal since it's above the GPU and close to the CPU cooler, and I can’t add extra fans for airflow. Any suggestions?
