I recently burned some CD-R discs using Verbatim's "Digital Vinyl" model. They work perfectly fine on my friend's CD player (a Sony CFD-S100L), but when I try to play them on my own Philips AZ105C, I just get an error message. I made sure to burn the files as audio CDs, but I'm not sure what else could be causing the issue. Any insights would be greatly appreciated!

Have you checked whether your discs are CD-R or CD+R? Sometimes compatibility issues come from that. According to Philips, your player supports CD-R but it's unclear about CD+R. It might be worth trying a different brand of CD-Rs too, as some players can be picky!
You should check if you're actually burning the discs as audio CDs. If you're just copying audio files as data, that could be the problem. Audio CDs store the sound data in a specific way, without a file system that regular data CDs use. Make sure to burn them correctly!
It might be a problem with the file format. Not all CD players support every format, so it's worth checking what your Philips AZ105C can read. If you burned them with Windows Media Player, they could be in WMA format, which isn't universally supported. Make sure your discs are burned as regular audio CDs, not just data discs.
Yeah, I've heard of compatibility issues with CD+R as well. It's always a good idea to stick with what you know works!
