Why Aren’t My Websites Opening? Could Time Sync Be the Issue?

I'm having trouble opening websites across all my browsers on Windows 11. I keep getting a message saying I can't connect to the server and that I might be behind a firewall. Last night I synchronized my time, which seemed to fix things temporarily, but now it keeps failing when I try to sync again. Any ideas on how to resolve this? Just to note, the time on my system appears accurate to the minute.

I had a similar issue, and flushing the DNS cache ended up fixing it for me. I honestly didn’t know what I was doing at first, but it felt really good when things finally started working. You might want to give that a shot if you haven't already!

Don't forget about DNS issues—your browser uses DNS to translate website names into IP addresses. If your cache holds onto an outdated entry, that could be why certain sites aren’t loading for you. Flushing the DNS clears that cache and could solve your problem.

It's unlikely that a time sync issue would prevent a webpage from loading altogether, though it can mess with things like authentication or certificate validation. When you try to load a page, does it time out or give you a specific error message? That could help narrow it down.
