After a recent blackout, my Ethernet connection is acting up. The router seems to be fine since we have internet access on other devices in the house. My PC is connected to the router, and I can access the router's settings by entering its IP address. Windows shows that I'm connected to the internet, but I can't access any features online. I've tried restarting both the router and my PC, clearing the DNS cache, setting a static IP, and even swapping out the Ethernet cable. I'm using Windows 11 and haven't had any updates since 2025, so that shouldn't be the issue. Interestingly, another PC on the same network is working just fine.

Try using a different RJ45 cable to make sure it's not a cable issue.
Remove the Ethernet network device from Device Manager, then reboot your PC to see if that helps. Also, try a different port on your router in case one is faulty. If you can ping 8.8.8.8 and get a response, then the issue might be DNS. In that case, try running "ipconfig /flushdns" on an elevated command prompt.
I confirmed that it’s connected to DNS, but it still won't access the internet. I ran the command, but it didn't help.
Have you checked the Device Manager for your LAN adapter? Right-click on it and see if there are any errors in the properties under the General tab.
I checked, and there are no errors.
Have you run "ipconfig /all" to check if your PC even has an IP address? You mentioned you can access the router, but just wanted to confirm which PC connects to it.
Yes, I can access the router from the PC that can’t connect to the internet, so they’re definitely linked.

I already swapped the cable, but the problem didn't change.
