Why Can’t I Find My GPU on My Laptop Anymore?

I was in the middle of gaming when I noticed a lot of lag. Upon checking the Task Manager, I couldn't find my GPU listed anywhere. I looked in Device Manager too, and all I see is the integrated graphics from my CPU. I didn't have this problem earlier today, and I really don't want to dig around inside my laptop. I could use some help with this ASAP!

Try enabling the GPU in your BIOS, it’s possible it got turned off somehow. Also, if you have a screenshot of your BIOS settings, that could help us assist you better.

I checked the BIOS but I wasn't sure what I was looking for.

We need to know your laptop model to help! Can you share what you’re seeing in Device Manager? It’d also help to know if there are any errors or messages showing up.

It's an Asus TUF A15, just to clarify.

It might be worth checking your BIOS settings to see if the GPU is enabled there. If you can, send us a screenshot of what you're seeing in Task Manager too. Sometimes installations can fail, so installing the drivers again might help if your NVIDIA card isn't detected. Also, make sure it's not just running in extreme power saving mode.

I checked, but I didn’t know what to change in the BIOS.
