Why Can’t I Play Online Games on WiFi Even Though Everything Else Works?

I've been having a weird issue with my WiFi lately. While I can browse the web and use social media without any problems, I'm unable to connect to online multiplayer games. It all started about a week ago, and despite my internet speed tests showing that everything is functioning normally, the games either won't connect or have extremely high ping. I've tried resetting my router and changing the DNS to 8.8.8.8, but nothing seems to work. Has anyone experienced this before?

I noticed that resetting the router can help sometimes, but if pinging is still an issue, it could be a problem with your ISP or network settings. Since your DNS is set to 8.8.8.8, that's good, but you might want to look into your router’s QoS settings to see if anything's throttling your gaming traffic.

Have you tried running a command prompt ping test? You can do that by typing 'ping 1.1.1.1' and see what the response looks like. It might give us some clues about what's going on with your connection.
