I've been having a frustrating issue where I can't type the numbers 1 through 9 on Reddit using the number row on my laptop keyboard or the virtual keyboard. The numpad works fine, and when I disable JavaScript, the number row starts functioning again. However, disabling JavaScript makes half of the website unusable. So far, this problem seems exclusive to Reddit. Any ideas on what might be causing this? Thanks!

It might be related to some funky combination of function or shift lock keys on your laptop. I wouldn’t really call it a JavaScript issue. Sounds like it could be a user error, to be honest.

Thanks for the tip! I’ll check on the PEBKAC issue. But I’m curious, if it’s not JavaScript, why does disabling it allow the keys to start working?
