Hey everyone,
I've got a 27-inch 1440p 250 Hz Crua monitor, and I'm running it with a 3070Ti GPU and a 12th Gen Intel i7. The problem is that I can't increase the refresh rate beyond 60 Hz without experiencing a drop in quality—like distorted screens or blurriness. When I set it to 240 Hz, I even get a black screen. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Are you using a DisplayPort 1.4 cable? If not, you might want to try a different one or even a DP 2.1 cable. It could make a difference in the refresh rate quality.
Try getting a DisplayPort 1.4 cable if you don't have one already. I had a similar issue with my 165 Hz monitor—it worked at 120 Hz but not 144 or 165 until I upgraded the cable. Just a heads up, do not use HDMI 2.1 since that only works with newer graphics cards like the AMD 7000 series and NVIDIA 50 series.
I've ordered one and will try it later today. I’ll update this post if it works!
I haven't heard of a Crua monitor before. Are you using HDMI or DisplayPort? You might want to switch cables if the one you have is outdated. You could also try disabling HDR or 10-bit color if those options are enabled, and check for any firmware updates.
Your monitor might need to be sent back for warranty. It sounds like the TCON board could be failing, which would explain the black screen issues when raising the refresh rate.
First off, try factory resetting your monitor—and don’t forget to check the cable you're using. Sometimes just a faulty cable can cause these issues!
I've had sync issues before when I didn't use the correct ports. Make sure you're using the right DisplayPort output on both the GPU and monitor. If that doesn't help, what does your system detect on either side?

I used a DP cable that worked for a 240 Hz monitor before, but it was only 1080p. Not sure which version it was though.
