Why Do YouTube Videos Stutter in Full Screen but Not in Windowed Mode?

Hey folks, I've been experiencing a weird issue with YouTube lately. Normally, my videos play back just fine, but whenever I switch to full screen, it seems like the frame rate drops to around 20fps, even if the video is set to 60fps. My internet connection is solid at 1Gb/s, and I've already turned off hardware acceleration, plus updated both Windows and my NVIDIA drivers. The strange part is that I don't encounter this problem on my work laptop when watching in full screen. Has anyone else run into this issue?

What browser are you using? Make sure hardware acceleration is enabled in your browser settings. If it’s already on, try turning it off, restarting your browser, and see if that helps!

I'm using Chrome, but I’ve already toggled that setting on and off.
