I've been facing a frustrating issue with my laptop while gaming. At first, everything runs smoothly, and I can enjoy high FPS - sometimes up to 300. However, after about 10 minutes, the performance just crashes. The FPS dips significantly, dropping to around 50, and even the rest of my laptop starts lagging. I'm pretty sure it's not thermal throttling because my laptop stays below 80 degrees during gameplay, and I don't think it's a power issue either. I have enough RAM for gaming, so that doesn't seem to be the problem. I've tried reinstalling graphics drivers and adjusting my power plan, but nothing has worked. I'm at a loss here! My laptop is an Asus v16 with a Dual VRAM DDR5 (8GB) and a Geforce RTX 3050 (6GB). Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

It sounds like your laptop might be experiencing some form of throttling. Even though you monitor the temperature and it stays below 80 degrees, you should check the clock speeds with software like MSI Afterburner to get a clearer picture. Also, having only 8GB of RAM can be a limiting factor for gaming today; consider upgrading to 16GB if you can.
You could try adjusting the power settings for your CPU and GPU to reduce their output. Sometimes laptops can get really hot, even if the temperatures seem nominal, leading to performance declines. Make sure the cooling is effective, too, as they might not vent heat quickly enough.

I've been keeping an eye on temperatures using Task Manager, and it hasn't gone above 85 degrees. I don't think overheating is the issue...
