Why Does My Live USB Boot to a Black Screen?

I've been attempting to install a Linux distribution, but every time I boot from the USB, I can choose my installation option (like 'Install' or 'Install with compatibility mode'), and then it just goes to a black screen. I've read online that it might be related to UEFI mode? I've turned off Secure Boot, disabled CSM, and made sure my BIOS is updated. I've also tried various Linux distributions and flashed my USB with different tools like Rufus and Etcher. I'm really stuck!

It might really help to provide the specs of your system and the Linux distribution you're trying to install. Sometimes this issue occurs with specific hardware combinations. Also, have you considered using Ventoy to create your bootable USB? Many people have had success with it instead of Rufus or Etcher.

Can you share the make and model of your computer? I remember seeing similar issues on certain laptops, especially Dell ones, where you'd need to tweak some options in GRUB.

Have you tried selecting the 'install in compatibility mode' option? This worked for me on an older laptop model, and my Linux installation went smoothly after that.
