I've been having this frustrating issue while playing Sea of Thieves—every time I speak too loudly, my microphone volume automatically drops, and it stays low. This makes it hard for my friends on Discord to hear me. I have to keep manually adjusting the volume back up, but if I raise my voice again, the same thing happens. I tried disabling the settings that let applications control the microphone volume, but that didn't help. I've noticed that Sea of Thieves doesn't have any specific microphone settings, so I'm not sure what to do about this.

Have you checked the Sound control panel? Under the Communications tab, you should make sure it's set to 'Do nothing' instead of 'Reduce the volume of...' to prevent Windows from automatically lowering your mic volume. This could solve your issue!
Yes, it's already set to 'Do nothing', but the problem still happens.
