Why does my monitor drop to 800×600 when I try to set it to 100Hz?

I just got a new 27" LG QHD IPS monitor (model 27U631A-B) and I'm trying to run it at 1440p. The catch is, when I switch the refresh rate to 100Hz, the resolution automatically drops down to 800x600. My setup includes an Acer Intel Arc B580 GPU (12GB) with all drivers updated, a Ryzen 7 7700 processor, and 64GB of RAM. I've got four monitors hooked up, while the fifth one is at 1080p with two monitors connected to the motherboard's display ports. Can anyone help me figure this out?

800x600? That's a blast from the past! You might want to try disconnecting all other monitors and just have the LG connected directly to the GPU. If it works at 1440p and 100Hz then the issue might not be with the monitor itself.

I did that and reinstalled the Intel drivers cleanly. Still no luck. I checked the user manual too, and it says I should be able to run 1440p at 100Hz. I also have a 4K DP to HDMI cable. Could it be the cable not supporting 100Hz at that resolution?

Have you checked if your GPU drivers are fully installed? Also, confirm that the monitor is plugged directly into the GPU and not the motherboard. After setting it to 100Hz, can you manually switch the resolution back to 1440p in your display settings? That might help.

Yeah, I'm completely sure about the drivers and the connection. I can choose 1440p, but it always drops back to 60Hz.
