I've been having this annoying issue for about a month. Whenever I'm gaming and I try to open another program, like Chrome or Discord, my screen starts glitching. Only a tiny part of it updates, and sometimes it's just a sliver of the screen—like a pixel or a quarter of the display. I hoped it would improve over time, but today, twice when I booted up my game, my screen went completely black and I couldn't fix it. I tried using Alt + F4 and the Windows graphic reset shortcut, but nothing worked. The only way to resolve it is to power off my PC and restart it, which is really concerning. I bought a pre-built PC and I've got about 1.5 years left on the warranty, so I'm wondering if I should just send it back?

I just went through the same thing! It turns out my GPU was on the fritz. If yours is still under warranty, it might be time to send it back for a replacement. Better safe than sorry, right?
Also, I've had my PC restart unexpectedly while I was doing school work online! It's really concerning, and might be linked to the same issue. Just be careful with your data!
Have you tried changing the connection type? I had a similar issue when I switched to DisplayPort. Sometimes the cables or ports can act up, so give that a check too!

Yeah, I think it's a good idea to utilize that warranty. It's super frustrating, but at least it can save you some hassle.
