Why is my browser not connecting to the internet even though my computer is?

I've been facing a frustrating issue where my browser seems to be disconnected from the internet although my computer is connected just fine. I've already tried a bunch of troubleshooting steps, including resetting my computer, uninstalling and reinstalling the browser, turning off proxy settings, running the ipconfig commands to release and renew, and resetting the netsh winsock, IP, and firewall. Any advice on what else I can do to fix this?

Make sure to check your IP address and default gateway too. Can you ping the gateway? That could give you a clue about the connection status.

Just a heads up, having a Wi-Fi connection doesn’t guarantee internet access. It just means you're connected to your router. Sometimes, the router might not be connected to the internet.

Exactly! To clarify, if your device connects to Wi-Fi, it means it can reach your access point (usually your router), but that doesn't indicate it can communicate with the internet.

It sounds like a DNS issue. Try opening the CMD and running 'ipconfig /all' to check your DNS settings. A good idea is to override your ISP’s DNS with Google’s Public DNS addresses: 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4. That might help!

Before diving deeper, can you confirm if you actually have a working internet connection? Knowing your IP settings could help troubleshoot this more effectively.
