I'm trying to burn a DVD, but no matter what format I convert the video to or the bitrate I set, the resulting DVD has a jittery image. It looks almost like it was recorded from an old television. I'm really unsure how to fix this issue. Any tips?

Don't forget to check the player settings. DVDs typically play at 50/60 FPS and are interlaced, which can sometimes cause issues on newer screens if the deinterlacing isn't done well. It can help to ensure that your playback device handles those settings properly.
Sounds like the original video format might be causing issues. Can you share details like the original video format, bitrate, and resolution? Also, what software are you using to burn the DVD? Sometimes, if you're multitasking on a low-powered system while burning, it could affect the quality, although jittering is less common in those cases.
A big culprit for jittery playback could be mismatched frame rates. If your source video is recorded at 30 FPS and you're creating a PAL DVD at 25 FPS, the software might be dropping frames during conversion. To avoid that, try matching the frame rates. Using a proper video editor to change the frame rate could yield better results, too.
