Why is My Game Download Speed Only 100mb/s with 900mb Internet?

Hey everyone! I'm having some concerns with my internet connection. I have a speed of about 900mb for downloads and 400mb for uploads, but when I install games, the speed only hits around 100mb/sec. I have a decent PC, but nothing too extreme. Is this speed normal, or is there something I can do to improve it? Thanks for any help!

Have you checked whether you're using Wi-Fi or wired ethernet? If it's Wi-Fi, that could be the issue. But if you're on an ethernet connection, check your adapter's specs and ensure your ethernet cable is good too. Sometimes an inline device can bottleneck the speed as well!

I'm on ethernet, so it might be the adapter I have connecting two cables. Do you think that could be causing a speed drop?

The thing is, servers that send you your games often can’t push data at super high speeds. Honestly, it's impressive if you even reach 100mb/s! You might want to check the servers you're downloading from since they can limit your speed too.
