Hey everyone! I've been having some serious performance issues with League of Legends on my ASUS TUF FX505DT laptop lately. Since last week, my FPS has dropped to between 30 and 50 while plugged in when before it was consistently over 100. I noticed that my CPU is sometimes hitting 100% usage, but my GPU seems barely active, only around 15-20%. My laptop is about 5 years old and I've never replaced the battery, so I'm wondering if that might be the culprit or if there's something else going on. Any thoughts on whether I should look into replacing the battery or if there's another reason for this issue?

I'd suggest looking into your battery health first. A failing battery can cause performance issues as laptops often throttle performance when the battery isn't giving adequate power. You can use software like HWMonitor to check your battery’s capacity. If it’s significantly degraded, replacing it could help!
It sounds like your CPU might be throttling due to heat or power management settings. Make sure your laptop isn't overheating; try cleaning the vents or using a cooling pad. Also, check your power settings in Windows and see if it's set to 'Performance' mode instead of 'Battery Saver' or 'Balanced'. This can make a big difference!
Thanks! I’ll definitely check the cooling and power settings.
Good point! I’ll check the battery health and see how it looks.
