Why is my laptop’s internet speed so slow when using my phone as a hotspot?

I've noticed that my phone provides decent internet speeds of around 40-50 Mbps, but when I connect my laptop to my phone's hotspot, it barely reaches 0.1 Mbps. I'm looking for advice on what might be causing this issue and how I can fix it.

You might also look into how your laptop connects to the hotspot. If it's connected over a weaker band (like 2.4GHz instead of 5GHz), that could affect speed. Try moving closer to your phone or changing the Wi-Fi settings.

Make sure to check your data plan with your mobile carrier. Some plans have limits on hotspot usage, and once you hit those limits, the speed can drop significantly. But if you have an unlimited plan, that shouldn't be the issue.

It sounds like your laptop's drivers might be causing the slowdown. Try updating or reinstalling the drivers for your network adapter. Also, if you're using an Android phone, consider using USB tethering instead of the hotspot feature to see if that improves the speed.
