I have an MSI PRO B650m-p motherboard that doesn't support built-in WiFi, so I bought a WiFi booster with an Ethernet port to connect to the internet from a router across my house. Initially, everything worked perfectly, but after rebooting my PC a few hours ago, I noticed that while my Ethernet shows as connected, I can't access the internet and it keeps mentioning issues with detecting proxy settings. I've tried several solutions: updating drivers, resetting the booster, restarting my PC multiple times, but nothing seems to help. The booster still works fine with my phone. I really need some help resolving this problem! Here's the link to the booster I bought for reference: https://www.amazon.com/Extender-Booster-Ethernet-Repeater-13888sp-ft/dp/B0DBVR419W/ref=asc_df_B0DBVR419W?mcid=baf47bf8c4373236a4db814be9385b5a&hvocijid=12500092546805642893-B0DBVR419W-&hvexpln=73&tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=721245378154&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=12500092546805642893&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=m&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9012808&hvtargid=pla-2281435180298&psc=1

Have you tried swapping out your network cable? Sometimes the simplest fixes can be overlooked. Also, you can run a command in the command prompt called "netsh winsock reset" to see if that helps. If you haven't tried disabling and then enabling your network adapter, that might be another good step. If all else fails, consider uninstalling the network adapter entirely and letting Windows reinstall it automatically.
The cable is brand new; I got it with the booster. I did run the netsh command, but it only stayed connected for a minute before dropping again with that proxy error. I've disabled and re-enabled the adapter multiple times too, and haven't had any luck with downgrading the driver or reinstalling it.
