Why is my PC stuck on an American Megatrends screen at startup?

I'm having a frustrating issue with my PC where it keeps turning off immediately when I try to boot it up. After powering on, the screen goes dark, then it turns back on and shows an American Megatrends screen. The message details my BIOS version, CPU info, and mentions that I need to enter setup to recover BIOS settings. It also talks about needing to change the SATA Mode Selection to RAID mode after setting up Intel Optane Memory or a RAID configuration. Any thoughts on what might be causing this?

It sounds like your BIOS battery might need replacing. That's a pretty common issue if the system isn't retaining settings. When you get to the BIOS setup, try resetting to default settings—it should help you boot normally again. Also, remember, it’s actually the CMOS battery that’s to blame here!

Totally agree! If you load the BIOS defaults, it often helps solve booting issues. Let's see if that does the trick for you.

And don’t forget to check for any hardware connections while you’re in there! Sometimes loose cables can cause startup failures.
