I'm having a frustrating issue with my PS5 where my download speed is only hitting 3.6Mbps, even though my WiFi seems to be working fine. Does anyone have ideas on why this might be happening and how I can improve it?

You might want to check how many devices are connected to your network. Sometimes, if there are too many devices using bandwidth, it can really slow down your PS5. Also, consider where your console is located—lots of walls or obstructions can weaken the signal. If possible, try moving it closer to the router or switching to an Ethernet connection for a more stable speed.
Good point! I’ll try that and see if it helps.
Make sure your internet connection itself is stable. Sometimes the ISP can have issues that affect speed regardless of your WiFi performance. You might want to test it with another device to see if it’s just your PS5 or a wider issue.
I’ll do a speed test on my laptop too. Thanks!
That's a solid suggestion! Running a speed test on other devices can help narrow down where the problem lies.
If you can, try running an Ethernet cable directly to your PS5. WiFi can be unreliable, and direct connections usually give the best speeds. Also, limit other devices on the network when you're downloading to ensure maximum bandwidth for your console.
Direct connections are definitely the way to go! I noticed a big difference when I switched.
Thanks for the tip! I'll definitely look into that.
Yeah, moving it closer to the router or connecting it via Ethernet can make a huge difference. WiFi can be tricky with all the interference.
