I'm experiencing a persistent issue where my SSD usage spikes to 100% whenever I perform any task on my computer. Previously, it was so severe that I couldn't even unlock my computer with my password because the SSD had already hit 100% usage by the time it booted up. I'm considering upgrading my CPU from an old i3-9100F to a Ryzen 5 5600, but I'm unsure if this might relate to the SSD issue. Can anyone shed some light on why my SSD is always at maximum usage, especially since CrystalDiskInfo reports it as being in 100% health?

Have you checked how much RAM you have? It might be swappable memory that's causing the SSD to work harder. Open up your task manager and see if there’s any process using a lot of resources. Sometimes, even if nothing seems to be 'hammering' it, background processes can spike usage unexpectedly.
If your largest task in the manager is Steam at around 100MB, there could be some other hidden processes or caching issues that are triggering the SSD to run at full blast. It could also be worth looking into your virtual memory settings!
It sounds like your SSD might be closer to failing than you think, even if it's showing 100% health. Sometimes, a drive can report good health but still have performance issues. It might be worth checking for any firmware updates for your SSD or considering a replacement if the problem continues.
