I recently built a new AM5 PC and I've built around ten computers before, so I have some experience with this. I got all the new parts from Micro Center, but I'm not getting any power or signs of life from it. I did the paper clip test, which worked fine, but even after swapping out every component, I still see no signs of life. I'm stumped!

Are there any lights showing up on the motherboard when it’s plugged in and the power supply is turned on? If you’re seeing nothing, there could be an issue.
Did you remember to switch on the power supply? Also, confirm you've inserted the right connectors in the correct ports on the motherboard. Make sure the front panel plugs are definitely on the proper pins. It’s an easy mistake to overlook!
First things first, try these steps: 1) Unplug the PC from the wall and the surge protector. 2) Test the wall socket with a lamp or phone charger to ensure it’s working. 3) If the wall has power, plug your PC back in. 4) Check the on/off switch on the power supply. 5) Make sure the pins for the power button connection to the motherboard are correct. 6) Unplug the GPU to reduce variables while testing. 7) Double-check that no PCIe cable is mistakenly connected to the motherboard alongside the main power cable. If there's still no power, grab your motherboard manual and use Google AI to create a troubleshooting checklist. It could really help!
I’ve done all that, still no power.
Quick question: when you mentioned the paper clip test, are you confirming you jumped the pins on the motherboard and it turned on? If that's the case, it might be that your power button is hooked up wrong, or there could be an issue with the case's electricals or that specific header on the motherboard. Double check those connections, just to be sure!
I tried jumping a bunch of pins and reseated all the cables multiple times.
Yep, I checked all that already.
