Why Isn’t Windows Detecting My Ethernet Connection?

Hey everyone! So I recently had to reinstall Windows 11 because my PC was crashing a lot. The weird thing is that even though I can still access the internet and play some online games, Windows doesn't recognize that I'm connected via Ethernet. This is causing issues because I can't use certain launchers or even get Windows updates. When I run the Windows troubleshooter, it shows that a Bluetooth device is set as the default instead of my Intel I211 Ethernet. I'm not really sure what to do next. Any ideas?

You might want to start by checking the Device Manager. Right-click on the Windows icon, select Device Manager, and look under the Networking category. If you see the Bluetooth network listed, try disabling it. That can sometimes switch things back to your Ethernet connection!

I tried that but it’s still not working. The troubleshooter says I’m connected, but I can’t install updates or use other services.
