Why Won’t My 5070 TI GPU Post?

I've recently upgraded my GPU to the 5070 TI OC Vanguard, but I'm having trouble getting it to post through my motherboard. I've done a lot of troubleshooting and ruled out several possibilities:

- I'm confident it's getting enough power from the PSU.
- There don't seem to be any connection issues with my ASUS Maximus XII Formula motherboard.
- I even returned the GPU for an RMA, which confirmed that it's not faulty.

This leaves me thinking the BIOS might be the issue since I can't get any pre-installed drivers to post with the GPU. I was also hoping to use the integrated graphics on my motherboard to install the drivers for the GPU, but it seems that alternative display adapters aren't even recognized in my BIOS or on my computer. I've checked that the BIOS is up to date, but I'm stuck. What else can I try to get a successful post?

Have you tried removing the 5070 TI and see if your PC posts with an older GPU? Sometimes that can help identify if the new card is really the problem.

Yeah, I tested it with my old 2080, and it posts just fine.

I ran into a similar situation with an RX 7800 XT and a B650 motherboard. I used the integrated graphics to boot into the BIOS, updated it from a USB, and then disabled the integrated graphics. This helped my motherboard recognize the new GPU. You might need to ensure your BIOS is truly the latest version, as an outdated one can prevent proper communication with your graphics card.

I thought the BIOS was updated, but I can't even access the integrated graphics to check. If there's another version I missed, I'd like to know!
