Why won’t my new PC boot despite powering up?

I'm facing a perplexing issue with my new PC build. Everything is brand new, out of the box. After assembling everything, when I power on the PSU, the LED lights on my AsRock Z890 LiveMixer motherboard light up and cycle. However, when I press the power button, the fans spin briefly and then stop, and the PC doesn't boot. I've tried several troubleshooting steps: reseating the RAM (four 32GB Crucial DDR5 Pro sticks), testing with just one stick at a time, removing the GPU (4080 Super), reseating the CPU (Intel 265k), disconnecting SATA connections, removing M.2 drives aside from the boot drive, and checking all PSU connections to the motherboard. I even bypassed the case power button by jumping the pins. Despite all this, it still won't boot. Any advice?

Did you try building the system outside of the case? Sometimes a short circuit can happen if there is a grounding issue when it's installed in the chassis.

I didn’t do that this time. Usually, I build on the box, but for some reason, I skipped that step.

Sound like you're doing everything right! One thing to check is the POST Status Checker on your motherboard. It should be above the big PSU connection. What color is it showing when you try to boot up? That might give a clue on what's going wrong.

I can't see any of the status lights lighting up, though. I'm trying to upload pictures but keep running into issues with the site not allowing them.

I printed the manual before the build, and I've built one before with the same board without any problems. I even made a video of the issue; it's unlisted on my channel if you want to check it out.

Have you let the PC sit for about 10 minutes without doing anything? Sometimes it needs a breather to get things going, although I know it sounds silly.

It’s not doing anything but blinking these RGB lights like a rainbow. Check out the video I made, it shows what's happening.
