Why Won’t My WiFi Adapter Stay Connected?

I'm having a major issue with my WiFi setup. I've tried just about everything I can think of to fix it. After restarting my system, doing a network reset, trying different adapters, updating drivers, and even running commands in cmd.exe, nothing seems to work. When I connect my TP-Link Archer T2U Plus dongle, it works fine for about five seconds before it slows down, disconnects, and shows a 'Can't connect to this network' message. Then I have to unplug and replug the dongle for it to connect again, but sometimes it doesn't recognize any networks at all. It's really frustrating because this is my work and gaming computer, and I can't afford to be out of commission for too long. Any help would be appreciated!

Sounds like the classic troubles with TP-Link devices! I've had similar issues where the adapters just seem to quit on you. If other devices on your network are working fine, I’d guess your adapter might be on the fritz. Have you tried a different brand? Sometimes it’s just time to let the old ones retire!

I actually have a friend who switched from TP-Link to another brand and noticed a huge difference in stability. Might be worth a try!

Could it be interference from another device? Sometimes things like microwaves or even Bluetooth devices can mess with your WiFi signals. You might want to check the distance of your router as well — if it's pretty far away, that could contribute to the problem too.

Yeah, the router is a bit far, but it used to work fine before. Just seems weird that it's suddenly an issue.
