I'm having a really frustrating time trying to connect to my WiFi on Arch Linux. I've been entering my password correctly every time, but it just won't connect. Can anyone offer some guidance on what I might be missing or what I should check?

The Arch Wiki is an incredible resource, so if you're not familiar with it, I'd really recommend spending some time there. It can help you understand your system better and lead you to solutions for common issues.

If you're trying to connect to your work or school WiFi, make sure you're using the right authentication method, like PEAP or something similar. It can be tricky if the network has specific requirements. Otherwise, just keep experimenting with the settings until you find what works.

Have you tried connecting to a different Wi-Fi network? Sometimes, using your phone as a hotspot can help narrow down whether the issue is with the Wi-Fi or your device. Also, if you have an Ethernet connection available, testing that could clarify if your setup has internet access at all. Just a couple of simple checks to start with!

Good point! If you can get online through a wired connection, that helps rule out some potential issues.

This might sound harsh, but if you're struggling with basic connectivity issues on Arch, you might want to consider trying a more user-friendly distro. It could save you a lot of trouble in the long run and help you learn without the frustration.

Odds are it's not just an Arch issue but could be related to hardware or driver problems. It might help to run some commands like "iwconfig", "lspci", "lsusb", and "sudo dmesg" to get more info about your network setup and see if there are any obvious errors or issues.
