Hey everyone! I'm planning to build a new gaming PC because my current one is super old—I've had it since I was 12, and I'm now 20. I do online schooling and work full-time, so I can set aside a decent budget for this project. However, I'm a bit lost when it comes to selecting parts for a gaming setup since I've never built one myself.
I primarily enjoy modding games (I've somehow managed to get my old machine to run a 120 mod list for FNV playthroughs, but it struggles with Minecraft Java). I mostly play single-player games, but I do dive into multiplayer titles like TF2 and Minecraft occasionally.
Could anyone recommend what parts I should consider? Thanks!

You really should list your max budget and the types of games you plan to play. It's essential! This way, we can suggest parts more accurately that will give you the best performance for your gaming needs.
If you're considering a prebuilt option, check out Costco. They often have good deals on gaming PCs that might suit your needs, especially if you're not keen on building one from scratch.
To get the best advice, it would help to know a few things: your budget, what games you'll be playing, and if you're near a Micro Center. If your max budget is $2,500, that's a solid amount!
Also, are there specific performance-heavy games or software you want to run? Knowing this can help others give you more tailored suggestions.

Thanks for the heads up! My budget is indeed $2,500. I mainly play heavily modded games like Fallout New Vegas, Skyrim, and Morrowind, and I also enjoy multiplayer Minecraft. I might dabble in some content creation, too. The closest Micro Center is about an hour away from me.
