I'm building a system with a Gigabyte RX 9070 XT and noticed that the ASUS TUF Gaming 1000W power supply only includes two 6+2-pin PCIe cables. The graphics card appears to need three 8-pin PCIe connections. The PSU has multiple PCIe sockets, and it also came with two CPU/EPS cables, so I'm wondering whether a cable was accidentally left out of the box. Should I contact ASUS, return the PSU, or purchase a replacement cable?

That may actually be the intended cable set. Check the box carefully for a 12V-2x6 cable that splits into two 6+2-pin PCIe connectors. Combined with one regular PCIe cable, it provides four 8-pin connectors, which is enough for the card. If that split cable truly isn’t included, contact ASUS for the correct replacement rather than buying a random modular cable.
Before returning the whole power supply, check the packaging and cable list in the manual to confirm what should be included. ASUS may be able to send the missing PCIe cable, possibly for free or for a small charge. You can also use the 12V-2x6-to-dual-6+2 cable if your exact PSU model supports it. Do not use a modular cable from another power supply brand or model, since the pinouts may be different.
I may have explained it badly—the box only had two regular 6+2-pin PCIe cables, and I couldn’t find the 12V-2x6 splitter cable.
