My Lenovo LOQ shows 144 GB free out of 475 GB, but I don't understand what is using the remaining space. I only have Europa Universalis IV, Roblox, and Minecraft installed, along with Steam, Epic Games, and Ubisoft Connect. My photos and videos take up less than 20 GB, although I do have some game recordings. What is the safest way to find and remove unnecessary files without deleting important photos, videos, or other data?

If a game library is using more space than expected, you can move installed games to another drive through Steam’s storage settings if you have a spare SSD. Also check folders where launchers save recordings, caches, installers, and updates, since those can grow without appearing as ordinary photo or video storage.
Windows Disk Cleanup can safely remove common temporary files and may recover several gigabytes. Review the list carefully before confirming, especially the Downloads option—leave it unchecked if you might have important files there. Disk Cleanup is fine to use with an SSD; it does not damage or disable the drive.
Start by checking Windows Settings > System > Storage. It will break usage into apps, temporary files, documents, videos, and other categories. You can then investigate the largest sections instead of deleting files blindly. A tool such as WinDirStat can also show which folders are taking up the most space, making it easier to find old recordings, installers, backups, or game files you no longer need.
