I know CDs aren't as popular now, but I still enjoy having my favorite music on my phone. The issue I'm facing is that I have a relatively new CD burner, and when I rip music using iTunes, the speeds are frustratingly slow. Sometimes I barely hit 5x, and it's usually around 2x or less. I think the burner should be capable of 50x potentially, but it doesn't seem to perform anywhere close to that. Also, it's slow when I burn CDs too. Why is this happening, and is there a way to speed it up?

Have you checked the limit of the disc you’re using? Although you're ripping, sometimes a lens issue might slow things down. If you think your lens might be dirty, a can of air could help, but a dedicated lens cleaning disc might be more effective for a thorough clean.
When you're ripping music from CDs, it’s not just about transferring the data; you’re also converting it to a format that works on your iPhone, which can slow things down. The speed can really depend on your computer's processor—if it's older or slower, that could be your bottleneck.
Yeah, good point! I was wondering the same thing. Do you think a lens cleaner would really make a difference or would the air can do the trick?
