Hey everyone! I accidentally deleted a bunch of my video files (.mkv) and I really need them back. The good news is, I haven't written anything to the drive since the deletion. I tried using Recuva and I could retrieve the files, but unfortunately, they won't play. I'm reaching out to see if anyone has suggestions for other recovery options or tools. Any advice would be greatly appreciated—thanks a lot!

You might want to check your Recycle Bin first, as files that are simply deleted typically go there unless they were too large. But if you already checked and they aren't there, that could be the case. It seems like if you haven't written over the drive, you might still have a chance!
Yeah, I checked the Recycle Bin already. The folder was way too big for that, so they didn't end up there. I realized a couple of hours after the accident, so I’m hoping for the best. But the files I recovered refuse to play, which is super frustrating!
