Am I at Risk After Letting Teens Use My Hotspot?

I was at an ATM in a convenience store when three teenagers asked if they could use my mobile hotspot to access their card and withdraw money. I agreed, but now I'm worried I might have compromised my security. They seemed to be logged in for about 45 seconds to what looked like a banking app before I disconnected them. I immediately changed my hotspot password and my bank password/PIN, but I'm still feeling anxious. Is there any chance I could be hacked because of this?

No need to flip out, really! Unless you’re dealing with pro hackers, there's little they could do through a hotspot. Just stay vigilant and keep checking your account. You’re probably more than fine!

You did good by being cautious, but think of it like using WiFi at a cafe. Unless they knew exactly what they were doing, they couldn’t have hacked you with just the hotspot access. Just monitor your accounts like you normally should.

iPhones have pretty solid security, so it's unlikely anything bad happened. You did the right thing by changing your passwords. For peace of mind, check your bank account regularly, but don’t stress too much; you just helped out some kids!

Honestly, I don't think you need to worry too much. From what you described, they were most likely using their own bank details and just needed your hotspot to connect. Sharing your connection doesn’t give them access to your personal data or accounts. Just make sure to keep an eye on your banking activities as a precaution.

It's always smart to check your bank statement regularly anyway. If you see anything odd, then you might want to take further steps. But likely, they just used your internet to access their own banking app, and that's pretty normal.
