Any Tips for Safely Cleaning My PC Without Causing Damage?

I'm about to clean my computer to remove some dust and I have a few questions. First, are there any parts of the PC where I shouldn't blow air with an electric duster? I plan to use a static brush and a microfiber cloth. I know I need to stop the fans from spinning and take the PC outside, but is it safe to blow air directly towards the motherboard? Additionally, the backside of the case has the USB ports, HDMI ports, and power cable—should I blow air toward that side or the front? And is it better to blow from bottom to top or from top to bottom? This is my first time cleaning my PC, so I want to make sure I do it right. I really appreciate any advice before I get started in an hour or two. Thanks!

It sounds like you're being really cautious, which is great! Just a heads up, regular electric dusters can sometimes create static that could harm your components. It's safer to use a can of compressed air instead. Make sure to hold it upright and don't shake it. When cleaning, start with the side of the case off in a well-lit area so you can see everything. Take photos of connections on the motherboard before unplugging anything to help you remember how to put it back together. And definitely avoid touching the CPU fan unless you're ready to replace thermal paste!

What about products like the Singwow Electric Air Duster? Are they considered safe? I saw it’s supposed to be good for PCs.
