Are There Any Firefox Extensions to Run Applets?

I've noticed that modern Firefox has dropped support for NPAPI, which means I can't run certain applets anymore. I was hoping to use the CheerPJ applet runner, but it's not compatible with my version of Firefox. Is there any extension that can help me run these applets?

Another option you might consider is using IcedTea, which allows running Java applets in Firefox. It could do the trick if you're looking for a workaround.

If you control the applets you're trying to run, you could embed CheerPJ directly on the page rather than depending on a separate extension. This should solve the issue for your own applets.

You might want to check out the Palemoon browser. There’s some info about running applets there, but just a heads up: many websites don’t function well on Palemoon, so it might not be a complete solution.
