I've had my Ryzen 5600x for about two years, and it's overheated a few times. Recently, my PC has been restarting itself repeatedly, and while I'm not sure if that's linked to the overheating, I'm considering replacing the noisy stock cooler. What are some good, budget-friendly cooler options? I've heard that brands like be quiet and ID-FROZEN are good, but I'm open to suggestions!

The stock cooler should work well enough for a 5600x, but if it's loud or causing issues, I'd look into other factors. What case are you using? A good case can help with airflow.
While the stock cooler is usually adequate, a cooler like the ID-FROZEN can definitely help. However, if you're experiencing restarts, it's likely not just the cooler itself. How hot does your CPU get? If it overheats past 100°C, you may need to check the cooler's installation and thermal paste application to fix the problem. New thermal paste and making sure the cooler is seated properly can make a big difference too.
I've had it shut off a few times with a CPU warning showing up when it restarts. The pre-applied thermal paste seemed really thin. A friend suggested using software to monitor temps. He thinks it might even be a Windows problem since it keeps resetting over and over.
The stock CPU cooler usually does the job, but you really need to troubleshoot what's causing the overheating. Check for dust buildup, make sure the cooler is fitted correctly, and confirm that the thermal paste is properly applied.
I haven’t really deep cleaned it. Just used some air on the heatsink. The stock cooler comes with a thin layer of pre-applied thermal paste, so I might need to redo that.
Definitely check out the Thermalright Peerless Assassin. It’s a great cooler and will keep your CPU running much cooler than the stock fan.
Thanks for the recommendation! I'll consider it.

I’m using an MSI MPG Gungnir 110, but I didn't realize there was a mesh version available.
