Hey everyone! I'm relatively new to Linux, having used different distributions for about two years, but I'm still figuring things out. I've tried Ubuntu (not a big fan), Mint, ZorisOS, and Arch (definitely not a fan of Arch). Currently, I'm stuck on Windows again due to college software, but I really want to switch back to Linux and actually start learning it this time, including scripting and maybe some programming. I'm keen on sticking to one distro for the long haul because I want to upskill in Linux—I'm interested in AI, C programming, and some photo editing. What distro would you recommend for a beginner like me? Also, if you have any good resources or reading materials, I'd appreciate it! Thanks for your help!

I'd recommend going back to Linux Mint. It's beginner-friendly and has a lot of community support, which is helpful when you're learning.
You could try using Live-USB options like Ventoy or a Virtual Machine to test out different distros without altering your Windows setup. This way, you can give various environments a run before settling on one. Here are a few links to get you started: check out what Live USB is and some examples of Live ISO images like Debian and Linux Mint.
Thanks, I’ll consider it!
