Hey everyone! I'm really new to this whole Linux thing and I'm looking for some good recommendations on which distribution to start with. I've had my fill of Windows and I'm ready for something different. What do you all suggest for a total novice? Thanks!

You should consider making a Multi-Distro USB with Ventoy. That way, you can try out various distros and see which one you like best. It’s a fun way to learn about Linux, and it teaches you a lot along the way!
While Mint is popular, there are other good options like Fedora and Zorin OS. It really depends on your preference, so feel free to explore a few! Just remember, the choice of distro isn't as important as getting comfortable with the Linux environment and having fun learning!
Thank you for the advice!
Definitely try Linux Mint. It's straightforward and doesn’t force you to use the terminal much. Plus, since it's based on Ubuntu, you'll have access to tons of applications.
Sounds like a plan! Thanks!
If you're coming from Windows, I think Linux Mint is a great choice. It's user-friendly and has a look and feel that's pretty similar to what you're used to. You'll probably find it easy to navigate!
I really appreciate the input! Thanks!
Ubuntu LTS is another solid option. It has extensive documentation, a supportive community, and it’s quite stable. Great for beginners who want to get off to a good start!
Thanks for the insight!
Great idea! Thanks for the suggestion.
