Can I Control My Bluetooth Battery Remotely Using a Hotspot?

I just picked up a cool lifepo4 battery for my car that has Bluetooth capabilities for monitoring and controlling settings. However, I want to access it from a greater distance than regular Bluetooth allows. Is there a way to connect to my battery from farther away? Maybe through some device that can link to my battery and also connect to my car's hotspot for remote access?

While Bluetooth range is indeed limited, using something like a Raspberry Pi or ESP32 could bridge the connection. You’d set it up to connect your battery to the internet, allowing you to access it remotely from your hotspot.

Unfortunately, direct Bluetooth access won't work over long distances. You might be able to set up a smartphone within Bluetooth range of the battery and control it through that phone, but it could be quite a hassle to configure.

That's a neat idea! I’ve got a tablet with service that I could keep connected to the battery. I could just remote access it for adjustments. But surely there’s got to be an easier way to do this!

If you're up for a bit of tinkering, a Raspberry Pi could work as a smart bridge! It’s not too tricky if you enjoy techy projects.
