Can I Play Audio from My Stereo Receiver to Bluetooth and Wired Speakers at the Same Time?

I'm looking for some advice for my father-in-law's home audio setup. He has a record player and a CD changer connected to a receiver that drives his Bose speakers. The issue is that the receiver doesn't support Bluetooth natively, and he also has a Bluetooth Sonos speaker he'd like to use. The goal is to have both the Bose wired speakers and the Sonos play audio simultaneously without constantly changing connections. He previously got a Bluetooth receiver, but that only allowed audio to be sent from his phone to the receiver, not the other way around. I'm trying to figure out how to output audio through both Bluetooth and wired speakers at the same time without having to swap cables. Any ideas? Also, are there any restrictions with Sonos that might complicate this? Thanks!

Absolutely! A small Bluetooth transmitter can solve your problem. You'll likely need to connect it to the headphone jack on your stereo receiver, and it allows switching between using it and the wired Bose speakers. The downside is that you might have to unplug the transmitter to use the Bose; connecting it directly to speaker outputs could damage it due to high wattage. Also, keep in mind that Bluetooth introduces a minuscule delay, so the sound from the Bluetooth speaker will lag behind the audio from your Bose speakers if both are playing at once, which can be troublesome if they're in different rooms.

I considered the lag issue, but since the Bluetooth speaker is on another floor, it might not matter too much. He wants to play records and enjoy sound from both speakers simultaneously while moving around the house. I’ll definitely look into those Bluetooth transmitters!
