Can I transfer my Windows license between email accounts?

I recently switched my Xbox email from one address (let's call it email A) to my current email (email B). My Windows digital license is linked to email B, which was logged into my PC. If I switch my account to email A, will I still keep the Windows license? I've already changed the email and it still says "Windows is activated with a digital license linked to your Microsoft account." Does this mean the license has successfully transferred since I've removed all connections to email A and only have email B left? I'm asking because I'm setting up a new PC.

It sounds like your Windows is already activated, so you shouldn't worry about it deactivating anytime soon. Just keep in mind that you might run into activation issues later if you decide to reinstall.

Do you know if you're using Windows Pro or the Home edition? If your PC came with an OEM key, that's likely what it's working with now, which might affect how it links to your email.

Got it! So it looks like it's fine then? I think it’s an OEM key, and now that I checked, it looks like my current PC is added to the Microsoft list, which is reassuring.
