I'm having trouble accessing my account. I know both my email and password, but I can't remember the phone number linked to my account because my phone was stolen and I had to get a new one. Is there any way I can recover my account without that number?

You could try reaching out to your mobile provider to retrieve your old number. However, since your phone was stolen, I'm not sure if that will help much. But if you have your email and password, you should really be able to log in without the phone number. It might be worth checking if the account allows login with just those credentials.
This seems suspicious, honestly. Reports of this kind are typically linked to people trying to break into accounts. Seriously, are you sure you're on the right track with recovery?
Fair point, just be careful out there!
I completely understand your hesitation, but I'm just trying to stop the charges piling up — I’m not trying to hack anything!
Yes, unfortunately, you do need that phone number for account recovery. If they can't link it back to a phone you currently have, you may need to wait until someone from their support team helps you out. They usually have a process for this.
The number is needed for two-factor authentication, though. That's why they're asking for it in the recovery process.
